My name is Aaron Thompson and I had my air conditioner repaired by your company several weeks ago. I just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the service R.A. Heating & Air Conditioning provided. Everyone was very helpful. Rachael answered the phone when I called; she provided the information I was inquiring about and then transferred me to Ron to better answer some more technical questions. Every other place I called couldn’t seem to do this. Ron spent about ten minutes on the phone with me listening to and discussing the problem we had been having with our unit. He made me feel comfortable that your company could fix the problem. Prior to calling your company we actually had another company (Air Quality) come out to look at our unit. The technician spent about two hours at our home, he did not fix the unit, he misdiagnosed what was wrong, and according to your technician may have been the reason why a certain part on our air conditioner may have been shorted out. On top of that they charged us over $200 for this visit. After he was at our home my fiancé and I were very upset, we just paid over $200 and were still looking at having to pay to fix the unit itself and then repair the damage to walls that would be caused because they would need to run a new wire through our home that has a finished basement. Seeing as how this is our first home and we had only lived there a couple of months we were not excited about having to possibly tear it apart. After speaking with my dad who has a background working with electricity, he didn’t seem to believe that this could be the problem. I explained all of this to Ron and he seemed to agree. The next day, Keith came out to our home to service the unit. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Keith was here about the same amount of time as the Air Quality technician or maybe even slightly less and was able to
completely correct the problem, without cutting holes in our walls no less. Keith’s visit only cost us $230 and that included the replacement parts that were needed. We were very pleased with this and shocked at the comparison between the quality of service and price with Air Quality. Needless to say if we ever need work done at our home again, we will definitely call R.A. and we would definitely recommend your company to others. We live in a condo and I will definitely tell the condo association about my experience and hopefully maybe the other units will give you a call for their repair needs.
Sincerely,
~ Aaron Thompson
R. A. has very good service! I would recommend them. My total experience has been very good. We've had them since '89 when we built the house, and they have always been good and reliable.
This most recent time we were having a lot of trouble with the pipe that goes out the furnace to outside. It was freezing a lot, and it's happened before, but not as much as it did this year. I was literally going out there every day to knock ice from the pipe. One day, when it had snowed particularly badly, I went out to break the ice from the pipe and I slipped and fell. I had gone out so often that I hadn't bothered to get a shawl on, and I couldn't get back up. Luckily, my family called R. A. Heating right away, and it's fixed now, so I won't have to go through that again. They were very nice to come right out to see what's going on. They hadn't cleaned my furnace last year, and my daughter mentioned that to them, and they went ahead and cleaned it that next day. There really has been nothing bad, other than that fall of course!

In today’s fast paced society that we live in, good service is often hard to find but R.A. Heating consistently delivers exceptional service!
On Saturday, December 15, around 8:30pm, the hot surface igniter went out on my furnace. I am with your “CARE” program so I called your call center to report my problem. With in five minutes, Jim had called me back to inform me that he would be over shortly to look at my furnace. He was in and out before the temperature dropped five degrees.
Your care center and service technician each handled my problem well. Having a reliable call center to dispatch emergency calls and having your technicians call customers’ back are features that provide reassurance to your customers’. Good reliable service people matter and they are a reflection of the company they work for.
Sincerely,
~ Brent Wood
Just a couple of months ago, we decided to have our house up-dated. We decided on installing air conditioning. After dealing with a competitor of yours, we looked no further than R. A. Heating & Air Conditioning. To say that we are pleased with the service, would be an understatement. The professionals that you employ are of the very best to be found! Dealing with Ron, Andy, Cheryl, and the men who installed the unit, was truly an experience that we will never forget! We will, in the future, highly recommend R. A. Heating & Air Conditioning to all our friends. Keep up the truly professional quality work that you are doing. Again, thank you. We will return in the near future for more of your excellent service.

We wanted to write and let you know how very happy we are with not just our Heatmor (out-door wood boiler), but also the customer service we received. We can't say enough of Cheryl in your Madison office to Shad that installed the unit; they were just wonderful to work with! We feel assured that in the future if any questions we may have, we will receive the same attention as we did when we bought the Heatmor. It is so refreshing to know that there are still companies out there that are still concerned with the customer and their needs and not just the sale.
Sincerely Happy Heatmor Owners,

They respond when I needed them to.
Review: R. A. did a great job. I had called in because it was an emergency, and they had a guy there after hours. He came in and did his thing, and I had heat again in a couple of hours. They responded when I needed them to, so what more could I ask?

We would just like to mention how pleased we were with Bill Millard’s thorough assessment and maintenance of the system in our home. While he explained his actions to our adult son who was home, he also took the time to call me at work to see if I had any questions that he might address. We recognize that this took additional time from his schedule, and greatly appreciate this sort of customer service.
We also appreciate the details reported under the “Service Performed” section of the invoice. While it is obvious that we would like to maintain our aging furnace and air conditioner, put when it comes time to replace these units, you can be assured that we will seek out R.A. Heating when it becomes necessary to replace them.
We have lived in Stoughton for six years now, and have appreciated similar service and accuracy from R.A. Heating & Air Conditioning each and very time we have contacted you.
With Sincere thanks,
Jack and Deborah Philippi

Great from start to finish!
A principal of the company came to the house to do a walk-through. He answered all my questions, explained options, and made recommendations but with no hard sell. Within a day, I had a complete written estimate in the mail, outlining exactly what they would provide in detail. They created a base proposal for the items I knew I had to have (furnace "banging" fix, humidifier, and air filter unit), and listed additional items and associated costs per item that I could add on if I wished to. I returned the signed proposal. When I hadn't heard back in a day or so regarding scheduling the work, I called R.A. due to a vacation, the paperwork hadn't gotten processed; they were apologetic. Despite being a non-emergency job at the height of the heating season, they were able to do the job within a week's time.
The work was completed as described, and everyone I dealt with at R.A. was extremely cordial and helpful. Two items of note: one of the installers was unfamiliar with the furnace (an off brand) and when installing the humidifier, accidentally crossed wires which blew a part that needed replacing in order for the furnace to work. RA called one of their senior technicians to the house that diagnosed the problem, went to get the necessary part, and had my heat back on within two hours. The only part of the experience that could have been improved: the kitchen porcelain tile had to be cut to fit a new vent. A sheet or tarp over the immediate work area might have prevented distribution of the fine dust that's unavoidable when sawing that material. I had a little clean-up to do, but that was the only clean-up. R.A. left the rest of their work areas immaculate!
If I ever have need for HVAC services again, I'll be calling RA. Heating!

The bottom line is R.A. Heating was competent, fixed the problem and the technicians we dealt with on the phone and on site were professional and had class!
Integrity is important to me.
After having my air-conditioning break down in the middle of a heat wave, my wife called a local Heating & Cooling company who came out and we received the word that our A/C was shot, most likely due to a lightning strike. The cost of the replacement unit would range from $1,800 to $2,400, depending on the model we chose.
Since it was a large amount, we decided to call R.A. Heating to get a second opinion. After some trouble shooting over the phone, the staff at R.A. suspected what we had been told might have been in error. We were pleasantly surprised to find the previous company was mistaken and that the unit was far from destroyed but required some basic minor repairs that totaled about $325 including service to our furnace and humidifier.
When we asked R.A.’s technician whether an honest mistake could have been made in this matter, he reluctantly said he could not understand how.
The bottom line is R.A. Heating was competent, fixed the problem and the technicians we dealt with on the phone and on site were professional and had class. As for the other “local” company, all of our neighbors know the story and their name!
Thank you for the help R.A. Heating. You will get our next call!

I just wanted to drop you folks at R.A. Heating a note to thank you for your prompt and efficient service!
My furnace wasn’t working this morning, which is a bummer in mid-winter! I telephoned you guys – and within about 2 hours your man, Keith, was here and my furnace was repaired and up and running!
I’ve been watching the 2002 Winter Olympics on television recently, and your guys, especially for Keith from those Swiss mountains in New Glarus, deserve a Gold Metal for fast, accurate, and stylish service!
Your service has always been great, but it is especially reassuring that in a little emergency you are really ready to help.
Thanks a lot!

Just a note to congratulate you on the professionalism of your company and people!
As you know, tradesmen in general do not have a very good reputation. They’re often surly, never show up when they say they will, and usually speak “technicalese” in an effort to justify expenses you’re not sure you need…but not your people.
A couple of years ago when I came home and could smell gas in the house, you had two men out here in twenty minutes to fix the problem. You’ve always given service that was fair and reliable.
As a former businessman, I know that the true strength of any firm is the level of it’s people, and yours are great, especially the service technicians that came to my house. They always have a friendly attitude, show up when they say they will, or sooner, and explain problems clearly, often using defective parts as an instructional aid.
Because of the people you employ, I trust your firm and would not hesitate to recommend R.A. Heating and Air Conditioning to anybody. Your motto should really be, “Service is our first name!”
Sincerely,
~ Marc Nardini
We wanted to write to thank you so much for the fine job done on our addition. We are so pleased that Sweeney Construction worked with you. We know integrating an old heating system with new sections presents challenges, but your design works beautifully.
Your installation crew was fantastic! Grant, Nate, and Mike were courteous and professional. And we sure appreciated their patience in returning to solve the shop-heating problem. It’s very comfortable and a great space for homeowner projects. Please pass on our compliments and thanks on to them.
If you maintain a customer reference list, we’d be delighted if you would add our names to it. We would be happy to recommend R.A. Heating to anyone looking for quality heating and air conditioning work. Thank you again for a great job!
Best Regards,

Dear R.A. Heating & Air Conditioning,
This past winter (invoice date Jan. 28, 04) my husband and I contracted your company for some improvements/projects at our home. Although some time has past since the work was done, I still feel compelled to write you to commend everyone involved with our project. John came to our house initially to write a proposal and Nate was here the next day to begin and complete the job. Both men were efficient and extremely courteous. We have found the workmanship to be of high quality, the job site was left in a tidy manner and the expense to us was fair.
You should know that we had previously approached two other HVAC companies before contracting with you. One of them never sent someone over to write a proposal and caused me to waste an afternoon waiting for them. The other company sent someone over who looked at the work we wanted done and we never heard from them again.
Both my husband and I will be happy to refer business to you, and R.A. Heating & Air Conditioning will be who we call in the future should we replace our furnace or install an air conditioner.
With sincere appreciation,
~ Rhonda K Slinde
Hi,
I would like to commend your company and the employees for doing an OUTSTANDING job!! The PROFESSIONALISM and CUSTOMER SERVICE was just unbelievable!
Last month (Dec 22nd) I was having a problem with my furnace. I called General Heating and the tech came out twice; put some new parts in (to get it running again, and all it needed was a limit control switch). He then claimed that my secondary heat exchanger was bad; he recommended that I buy a new furnace, because the part alone was $1,200.00 (they quoted a price of $2,600.00 for a basic furnace). I decided to call your sales staff and spoke with Andy. He asked why I wanted a new furnace. I explained the situation to him, and since it was close to the holiday weekend, Andy said that he would have a service tech come out, and put the item in for me so I would have heat for the weekend. And if I decided to keep the secondary heat exchanger I would pay for the labor and the part, but if I decided to go with a new furnace I would pay for just labor, and the part would be taken back. Bill came out that night and did a quick check on it and said all it needed was a limit control switch to get it going, he installed it and I had heat for the holiday weekend. THANKS Bill!
I received the bill from General Heating and they charged by the hour and overcharged the hours on me; they even charged me for the tech that was out to call other tech's, because this tech didn't have any ideas as to what to trouble shoot. I decided to call your company to really see if it was the secondary heat exchanger; with PROMPT service the tech (Nate) came out the same day. Nate did a complete inspection of my furnace and said yes, it was my secondary heat exchanger. He also mentioned that it was still under warranty (the tech from General didn't tell me this). I asked what the price would be for installing it, he said around $400 as opposed to the $1,200.00 that General wanted. While he was here he was VERY professional and answered all my questions regarding the furnace problem(s), and he came out the next day and promptly installed the item.
Once again, THANK YOU for having TOP-NOTCH QUALITY people working for your company!

Dear Connie,
I would like to give you some feedback on our recent experience with your company:
We have always used R.A. Heating for our yearly checks and service. Your staff has always been personable, on time and informative. When it was time for a new A/C, John from sales came over, listened to our needs and issues with the house, and came up with a plan. He then educated me, so I could make choice. He answered my questions and laid everything out in an easy to understand format so we ended up with exactly the system we needed. Our install of a new Carrier A/C and furnace happened yesterday. (We had started out just looking for a new A/C, but once we were informed, we decided to update the furnace as well for maximum efficiency). Bruce and Randy were awesome: polite, quiet, personable, on time, and knowledgeable!! Randy (I think it was Randy) gave me the owner's manual ahead of time so I would have some idea what he was talking about when he showed me how to use the system. What a great idea!! Reading about the features and then actually seeing the control panel helped the information "stick". Then I was ready to actually push some buttons and get the system up and running in about 7 minutes. He also educated me on types of filters for the furnace. When I say educate, I mean that I was given the information I need to make a choice that meets our needs.
We were initially going to get a couple of bids for this job. But when I thought about the "professional culture" of your company, the great customer service we have received in the past, I decided against it.
Please thank your staff for the great job they do; it is appreciated. And, thank you for the culture you have created. Please feel free to use us as a reference if needed for any of your future customers.
Sincerely,
~ Robin & Tom Engelbrecht
